HOLD UP. We can't believe we are launching the THIRD EDITION of the Independent Derry Card. Little did we know when we launched our first card in November 2016 that it would be such a success with the wonderful people in our city and the independent businesses who have gotten behind it. We are of course super sad to be saying goodbye to our most recent card which represented the city so well and its beautiful historic buildings. However these cards will still be in circulation for the next year so we're not saying goodbye completely (phew). Our third edition card has a brand new look & message behind it; support a small business, support a dream. We worked with the guys at Wurkhouse who brought our idea to life and introduced quirky characters that represent the people who own, run and work at our independents. You'll notice the card is bright, colourful and cheerful and projects feelings of happiness. The characters show people doing something that they love, in the city that we love.
The card is the perfect way to show your support for our independent businesses and our local economy, rewarding you for shopping locally. For every £1.00 spent local, up to 80% goes straight back into our local economy. So it's important that we encourage people in the city to use our independents as much as possible. With the card you can discover, visit and support over sixty independent places including eateries, coffee shops, retail and craft shops, bars, lifestyle businesses and more!
